Medwork 84 (formerly Medwork/North Broward Hospital District) is a leading provider of Occupational Medicine in Broward County. Medwork 84 has been providing occupational medical services and drug screenings for many governmental agencies and private companies for over a decade. Our current contracts include: Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), Broward County, City of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County School Board. We also provide medical services to other clients on a non-contractual basis. These include: Broward Employment and Training Administration (BETA) Program, the cities of Wilton Manors, Margate, Lauderdale by the Sea, Lighthouse Point, as well as local companies such as: Motorola, Wheelabrator (a subsidiary of Waste Management), Browning Ferris Industries (BFI), Southern Waste Systems (SWS), American Express, Orkin, several large construction companies, local and national hotel chains, furniture stores, etc. Medwork 84 works closely with many trucking, shipping and stevedoring companies located within Port Everglades such as: BP Amoco, Chevron/Texaco, Cliff Berry Inc., Eller and Company, Crowley Liner Services, Southern Labor, International Longshoremen's Association (ILA), etc.

    Maritime medical services are also provided to national and international shipping agencies and the cruise industry. These services include "Fit for Duty" examinations, Coast Guard physicals, immunizations & urgent care medical services for illness or injuries. On-board medical treatment can be arranged while ships are in Port Everglades. Drug screening which meets all Federal guidelines (including USCG) are performed at Medwork 84.

    Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals including urinalysis, audiograms, electrocardiograms (EKG), and Federal drug screening 
(when each is indicated) are performed at Medwork 84. Drug screen "collection only" and breath alcohol tests are performed. These can be arranged through corporate accounts or privately.

    Medwork 84 is equipped to meet all your requirements for drug screening. We have twenty-four hour coverage for post-accident and random drug screening. Our collection personnel are certified collectore and Breath Alcohol Technicians. We currently perform these types of collections for several large governmental agencies, as well as private companies. Collections may be performed at our office or "on-site", including some Emergency Departments, if necessary.
